A'Quilaco - Advanced online quality and process control for high speed laser machining of composites
Newson NV joins a consortium with Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. and Sensortherm GmbH for an European EraSME-project. Newson will develop a compact dual scanner head.
The main focus of the project will be the development of a combined scanning head, including a pyrometer which follows the laser spot and allows different offset positions in relation to the laser spot during the laser process. The pyrometer will provide detailed information about temperature distribution inside and around the interaction zone.
This will significantly enhance the possibilities for online temperature detection as prerequisite for controlled laser processing of CFRP.
